Eventful night/day...

Went to Lamarrs last night for Dan's biffday and got tres drunkard (and spent too much AGAIN, I must learn about putting my card behind the bar).
Marian Green course today (and tomorrow) which was interesting. Then after, trecked back to New Aeon where David looked after me while I freaked the fuck out and munched sugary substances with a view to getting stabbed in the septum. It took at least half an hour to get the nerve up and I'd been worrying about it all day.

Then I went and got it pierced!!!

Was dead proud of myself, it didn't hurt anything like I expected it was going to and Marcus was lovely and reassuring. My eyes didn't water but my nose bled a bit, I didn't have anaesthetic and Marcus pierced it freehand which I was a little apprehensive about as I've never had a piercing done freehand before, but as far as I can tell it was all done good and straight. He did it really quickly and efficiently, I'm glad I now feel I have another piercer that I can trust seen as Caz has moved away.

I've had a few (earlier) piercings done with and probably a larger percentage (later) done without, anaesthetic and while I couldn't really say for sure whether it's true that they heal better without, I certainly don't think they hurt any more without.

The thing with me is that while anaesthetic doesn't really make a difference, it is more of a placebo for me in that it makes me slightly less nervous, but I always feel far prouder of ones done without it (which now seems to be the more common practice).

It has a retainer in it and is absolutely invisible, which is what I was worried about. I like the fact that it's a 'permanent' piercing too, rather than one which may grow out eventually (such as my navel and my nipple and any other surface piercings).

All in all, yay!
